Joining the ACC was a huge move for the Cards. The Big East was starting to fall apart and Louisville had to get out of there. The ACC is full of good basketball and football programs. For example: Florida State, UNC, Duke, NC State, Miami, and Clemson. Don’t rule out the other teams though. Teams like Virginia and Boston College aren’t very good but if they joined the Big East in 2015 they would dominate teams like Tulane, and East Carolina. Tulane and East Carolina are joining the Big East in the upcoming years.
Recruiting is going to explode the next couple of years. After the news broke about Louisville joining the ACC 2 recruits committed to the Cardinal football squad. Richard Benjamin a 4 start WR from Tampa, Florida signed with the Cards. He is very small at 5 ft 11 inches but he can jump. Mr. Benjamin is the #22 best WR in the 2013 class.
Also committing on the same day as Richard Benjamin was Junior College QB Brett Nelson. He is a 6 ft 3 in QB and has experience playing some college football. He will most likely fill in as the QB when Teddy Bridgewater leaves for the NFL draft which could be this year or next.
The ACC move was a great move for the Cardinal athletic program and I see everything up from here.
